"The Franklin Chair": Aretha in Fiction

Postby Paul Headrick » Tue Jul 13, 2010 2:32 am

I'm a writer interested in compiling a list of stories and novels that involve soul in some way. I have my own example, a short story titled "The Franklin Chair," which is part of a collection of music-related fiction: The Doctrine of Affections. I've made a very simple video promo for the story: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-c2IbjbNVjw. The story is in part an homage to Aretha.

If you know of any works of fiction in which soul music or soul artists play an important role, I'd love to hear from you. I'd also welcome any responses to the video.
